Getting Started and Set Up
Setting up Google Analytics 4 connects your website to a Google Analytics property so it can start recording visits. The method here uses Google Tag Manager, one common way to add the tracking.

GA4 only records from the day the tracking starts working, so it cannot fill in past months. If MerlinFX built your site, tracking may already be in place. Ask us before adding another tracking tag, as two tags on one site can count every visit twice.
Before you finish
- Open your site in a different browser and check that your visit appears in the Realtime report within a few minutes.
