Orders

The Orders screen lists every purchase made in your shop, with its status, customer details, items and payment method. You use it to process new orders, mark them as completed and record refunds.

Order statuses trigger other things. Marking an order completed usually emails the customer, and stock levels change as orders are placed or cancelled. A refund entered in WooCommerce only returns money automatically if your payment gateway supports it, so confirm the customer was actually paid back.

• After changing an order’s status, read the order notes to see which emails went to the customer.
