Home WordPress essentials Widgets
Widgets
Widgets are pieces of content that sit in areas outside the main page content, such as a sidebar or footer. Use them to show things like contact details or recent posts across many pages at once.

Which widget areas you have, and where they appear, depends on your theme. Some themes use the newer block-based widget editor and others keep the classic screen, so yours may look different. A change made here usually shows on every page that uses that area.
Before you finish
- Check the change on a few different pages, since one widget area can appear right across the site.
