Home WordPress essentials Categories
Categories
Categories group your posts by broad topic, such as Projects, News or Advice. Visitors can browse every post in a category, and many themes show the category name on each post.
Videos not enabled.
Keep the list short and settle on it early, because lots of categories with one post each are hard to browse. Every post needs at least one category. If you don’t choose one, WordPress uses the default, which is often called Uncategorised until someone renames it.
Before you finish
- Rename the default category if it still says Uncategorised.
